Baseball Recap: Fort Chiswell Pioneers vs. Eastside Spartans

With a playoff win on the line, Fort Chiswell rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Eastside Spartans by a score of 9-5.

Parker Moore made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Moore was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Those doubles marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Mac Phillips was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Spencer Moser was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.
