Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dumas). They blew past the Borger Bulldogs 85-45 on Friday. Given the Demons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 518th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Borger still got an impressive performance from Tahqulin Brooks, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 57.8% of Borger's points, marking the 14th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

The victory got Dumas back to even at 13-13. As for Borger, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-18.

Dumas has already played their next matchup (against Canyon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Borger will square off against Hereford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Borger has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
