Baseball Recap: Higley Victorious

Higley lost to Queen Creek back in February of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Higley came out on top against Queen Creek by a score of 8-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Higley got a great performance from Ryan Birch as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. That's the most strikeouts Birch has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Cam Jantz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Blake Daly was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Higley's record is now 10-5. As for Queen Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Higley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Queen Creek: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
