Softball Recap: Divine Child Takes a Loss

Divine Child dropped their record down to 4-4 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Flat Rock Rams by a score of 8-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2022.

As for Flat Rock, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since May 18, 2024.

For Flat Rock's part, Avery Mack was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Addi Kopp, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Divine Child wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-0 victory against St. Ursula Academy on the 28th. As for Flat Rock, they have also already played their next game, a 23-6 win against Jefferson on the 28th.
