Soccer Game Preview: Enterprise vs. Stanhope Elmore

The Enterprise Wildcats will square off against the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Enterprise challenged St. Michael Catholic on Saturday. Enterprise came up short against St. Michael Catholic, falling 5-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Enterprise were already down 4-0.

Meanwhile, Stanhope Elmore kept a clean sheet against Marbury on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for Stanhope Elmore, who have now won eight matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Jay Myers was the driving force of Stanhope Elmore's attack as he scored all three of Stanhope Elmore's goals, bringing his season total up to 22 goals.

Stanhope Elmore is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those five games. Enterprise's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1.
