After flying high against Cambridge City Lincoln on Thursday, Northeastern came back down to earth. The Knights fell 2-0 to the Jay County Patriots on Saturday. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Northeastern ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17.

Northeastern's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Jay County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Northeastern has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Whiteland on the 11th. As for Jay County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lawrenceburg on the 11th.
