Softball Recap: Irvington Vikings vs. Mission San Jose Warriors
Irvington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Mission San Jose Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Irvington of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.
Irvington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diya Vacin, who went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
On Mission San Jose's side, Anjali Singh was incredible, going 1-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and a stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Londyn-Rae Walker, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Irvington's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Mission San Jose, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.
