Basketball Recap: Blue Valley Northwest Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Blue Valley Northwest was the 49-34 winner over Olathe North when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Valley Northwest Huskies fell to the Olathe North Eagles 55-51.

Asia Lee had a dynamite game for Olathe North, going 12 of 23 en route to 37 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lee has scored at least a third of Olathe North's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lailah Boyd, who posted six points and three steals.

Blue Valley Northwest's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. As for Olathe North, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Valley Northwest will square off against Hickman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Olathe North, they will face off against Shawnee Mission Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Olathe North's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
