Softball Recap: Lewis Cass Takes a Loss

Lewis Cass lost against Maconaquah back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Kings fell just short of the Braves by a score of 3-2. The Kings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lewis Cass got a good showing from Alisha Toops, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Lewis Cass saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Logan, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Lewis Cass' defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Maconaquah, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-14 record this season.

Lewis Cass didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Oak Hill on the 27th. Maconaquah has also already played their next contest (against Eastbrook), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
