Volleyball Recap: Las Plumas Falls to Chico in First Game of Season

Las Plumas unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Chico Panthers on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Las Plumas ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20.

The win made it two in a row for Chico and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Las Plumas will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Foothill at 5:30 p.m. on March 31st. As for Chico, they will face off against Orland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
