Basketball Game Preview: Deer River Warriors vs. South Ridge Panthers

The Deer River Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the South Ridge Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Deer River came up short against Chisholm and fell 57-48. The Warriors have struggled against the Bluestreaks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, South Ridge got the win against Kelley on Thursday by a conclusive 61-35. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 26 points or more this season.

Deer River's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for South Ridge, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Deer River took a serious blow against South Ridge in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 65-33. Can Deer River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
