Tri-County was handed a four-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cherokee Braves. Tri-County's winning goal came courtesy of Hayden Cunningham.

Tri-County's victory bumped their record up to 2-10-1. As for Cherokee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Tri-County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cherokee, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-2 win against Blue Ridge Early College on the 6th.
