Basketball Recap: Ripon Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Ripon had to endure an eight-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They snuck past the Chilton Tigers with a 60-54 victory on Saturday. This was payback for Ripon, who suffered a 79-54 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ripon's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Chilton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Ripon and Rhinelander will round out the year against one another at on Friday. Rhinelander will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Ripon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chilton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oconto at 5:45 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
