Volleyball Recap: Rutland Comes Up Short

Rutland lost against Mount de Sales Academy back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hurricanes took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers.

Rutland was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-9.

Rutland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Rutland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Northside on the 12th. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Crawford County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
