North Rowan is a perfect 3-0 against Albemarle since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cavaliers will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.
North Rowan is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering North Stanly just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 35-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets. While the Cavaliers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Comets 14-7 in the first quarter.

North Rowan might have lost, but man, Jo Jo Tarver was a machine: he rushed for 44 yards and one score, and also picked up 36 receiving yards and one TD. Dyaon Norman- Jackson also helped out with an impressive 92 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Albemarle beat Union Academy 31-24 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won five in a row.
North Rowan better keep an eye on Shoddy Pergee. He was instrumental in Albemarle's win, rushing for 266 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per carry. Pergee's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
Albemarle was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 284 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
North Rowan's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Albemarle, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: North Rowan has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 364.4 total yards per game. It's a different story for Albemarle, though, as they've been averaging only 227.4 total yards. Will North Rowan be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Bulldogs flip the script?
North Rowan skirted past Albemarle 36-33 in their previous matchup back in October of 2019. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bulldogs' Antonio Burns, who rushed for 119 yards and one score on only 13 carries, and also threw for 157 yards and one TD. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Cavaliers to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
