Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Musselman Applemen. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Applemen are ranked 17th).

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Musselman, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-5.

Coincidentally, Jefferson and Musselman will both be playing Washington the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Applemen will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
