Baseball Recap: St. Mary's Springs Find Success

St. Mary's Springs never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Omro Foxes. The Ledgers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Foxes, too.

Not much got past Ben Anderson, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Omro off the board. Anderson also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because St. Mary's Springs is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Carter Bartelt was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

St. Mary's Springs' victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Omro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

St. Mary's Springs will have a chance to go back-to-back against Omro: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
