The Billings Senior Broncs will venture away from home to take on the Russell Rustlers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Billings Senior is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.1 runs per game this season.
Billings Senior is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Montana's top teams: Billings West, who was ranked 11th at the time (Billings Senior was ranked third). The Broncs walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Golden Bears on Thursday.

Billings Senior got a great performance from Rayvin Fisher as she struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave Fisher a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Viennah Meyer was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Octavia Meyer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Russell's offense. They fell just short of Capital by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The Rustlers just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.
Russell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Myli Adams, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one double. Taylor Thompson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Billings Senior's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Russell, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Billings Senior hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Russell struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Billings Senior's way against Russell in their previous meeting on April 5th, as Billings Senior made off with an 18-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
