Basketball Recap: Anderson County Skates Past Cherryvale with Ease

After losing to Cherryvale the last time they met, Anderson County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Anderson County Bulldogs claimed a resounding 72-24 victory over the Cherryvale Chargers. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Noah Porter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 15 on his way to 22 points along with six boards and four steals. He has been hot, having posted 19 or more points the last five times he's played. Rigin Jasper also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Cherryvale's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Carsen Ellis, who posted seven points, and Jayce Simmons, who earned five points.

Anderson County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Cherryvale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
