Baseball Recap: Waynoka Extends Winning Streak to Five

Waynoka made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ringwood, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Railroaders' pitchers stepped up to hand the Red Devils an 11-0 shutout on Monday. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Railroaders this season.

Daycen Cunningham and Landon Seiger made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Cunningham tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Seiger pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Cunningham scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Seiger went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. With that strong performance, Cunningham is now averaging an impressive 1.5 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kolin Bechard, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. William Rohde was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
