Basketball Game Preview: Johnson Jaguars vs. Judson Rockets

The Johnson Jaguars will head out to challenge the Judson Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Johnson came up short against East Central and fell 80-67. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 534th, while the Hornets are ranked 109th).

Meanwhile, Judson came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 68-55.

Judson pushed their record up to 15-15 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Johnson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-20 record this season.

Johnson was taken down by Judson 72-36 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Johnson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
