Basketball Recap: Greenville Takes a Loss

Greenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 67-60 to the Georgiana Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Panthers are ranked 80th).

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Georgiana, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-3.

When Greenville and Georgiana next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Greenville will try to stop Wilcox Central's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Meanwhile, Georgiana will face off against Charles Henderson and their six-game winning streak at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
