Softball Recap: Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles vs. Maize Eagles

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maize South, Bishop Carroll was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Maize Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Keira Stripling was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emerson May, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Allyson Orth, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
