Basketball Recap: McKinley Triumphs

McKinley hadn't done well against Scotlandville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The McKinley Panthers came out on top against the Scotlandville Hornets by a score of 46-33. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Scotlandville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joe Tate, who posted six points in addition to five assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Bralen Parker, who scored eight points.

McKinley now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Scotlandville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

When McKinley and Scotlandville next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. McKinley will try to stop Liberty Magnet's eight-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Scotlandville will try to stop West Feliciana's six-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
