Preview: Gilead Christian Eagles vs. Zanesville Christian Warriors
The Gilead Christian Eagles will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Zanesville Christian Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Gilead Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 46-30 to Marion H. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gilead Christian in their matchups with Marion H: they've now lost four in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Aden Wagner, who scored eight points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Diesel Myers, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Zanesville Christian couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gilead Christian.
Gilead Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season. As for Zanesville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Gilead Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Zanesville Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win.
