Basketball Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cimarron-Memorial can now relate to. They took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Somerset Academy Losee Lions on Friday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Roderick Johnson was his usual excellent self, putting up 19 points for Somerset Academy Losee. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more points the last 12 times he's played. Yasin Musa was another key player, posting ten points.

Cimarron-Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Somerset Academy Losee, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-11.

Cimarron-Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Somerset Academy Losee, they will head out to square off against Rancho at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rancho's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 contests.
