Volleyball Recap: University Finds Home Court Redemption Against Hampshire

There's no place like home for University, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hampshire Trojans on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

University not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hampshire between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Maggie Panson paced University's offense, picking up four kills. Panson got some help from Alexis Oravec and her 11 assists. Panson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

University now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Hampshire, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, University and Hampshire will both be playing Parkersburg South the next time they take the court. The Trojans will host the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hawks will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
