Basketball Recap: Harding County Falls Despite Big Games from Evan Meyer and Nayati Bickerdyke

Harding County played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Timber Lake Panthers, falling 58-35. The Ranchers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Harding County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nayati Bickerdyke, who posted nine points and three steals, and Evan Meyer, who earned eight points and three steals. Meyer is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last five games he's played.

Harding County's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Timber Lake, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Coming up, Harding County will square off against Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig/Mott-Regent] at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Timber Lake, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers face off against the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
