You voted, you decided...who had Ohio's best individual and team performances this past year?
 
This is the final MaxPreps and JJHuddle boys soccer athlete of the week and team of the week awards in girls soccer for the 2016-2017 school year.

Each week during the season (regular and post), there was a fan-generated contest to tab weekly winners. Each weekly winner receives awards (bracelets and certificates).

How does it work?

Fans nominate top performances (send emails to efrantz@maxpreps.com) and nominees are also be selected from those schools that report stats on MaxPreps. We announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on MaxPreps and JJHuddle every Tuesday and voting will be conducted in a special poll. Voting ceases at noon on Monday. The winners are be announced the next day along with the next week's nominees.

You can vote as many times as you want. It's a competition.

We will hold weekly awards for winter sports in boys and girls basketball.

Week 12 Girls Soccer Athlete of the Week

* Sofia Rossi, Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Senior and Wake Forest commit scored her fifth career state final goal en route to helping the Warriors claim their fifth straight D-I state title with a 2-0 win over Springboro. Scored at least one goal in all four state finals she played in.

Week 12 Girls Soccer Team of the Week

* Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
The Warriors won their fifth straight D-I state title and 10th state title overall with a 2-0 win over Springboro in the state final. Walsh finishes the season 22-1 with 17 shutouts. The Warriors allowed five goals in 23 games. They are the only program in state history – boys or girls – with double-digit soccer state titles.

Scored seven goals in a 12-3 win over Greenfield McClain.

Week 1 Girls Soccer Team of the Week

* Ontario (Mansfield) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
The Warriors opened the season 3-0 with wins over Lexington, Norwalk and Mansfield Madison by the combined score of 13-1.

Week 2 Girls Soccer Athlete of the Week

* Lexi Boyk, Berkshire (Burton) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Freshman had three goals and an assist in a 6-0 win over Lordstown and four goals and two assists in a 9-0 win over Bedford. Has 11 goals and five assists on four games.

Week 2 Girls Soccer Team of the Week

* Preble Shawnee (Camden) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
The Arrows remained unbeaten with a 3-0 week that included road wins at Newton and Milton-Union. Also shut out Middletown Madison.

Week 3 Girls Soccer Athlete of the Week

* Taylor Polley, McClain (Greenfield) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Scored 10 goals in a 13-0 win over Washington Court House tying her for fourth place in state history for goals in a game. Also holds the all-time scoring record for both boys and girls at McClain with 94 career goals.

Week 3 Girls Soccer Team of the Week

* Tippecanoe (Tipp City) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
The Red Devils have yet to allow a goal this season and improved to 6-0 with a pair of shutout wins last week. Have outscored opponents 32-0.

Week 4 Girls Soccer Athlete of the Week

* Anita Mancini, Canfield (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Scored five goals in an 8-1 win over Warren Harding.

Week 4 Girls Soccer Team of the Week

* Anna (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
The Rockets improved to 9-0 with a 12-0 win over Lincolnview. Anna has outscored opponents 38-2 and has six shutouts this season.

Week 5 Girls Soccer Athlete of the Week

* Erin Duffy, Grove City (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Scored four goals in a 5-2 win over Reynoldsburg.

* Ashland (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
The Arrows remained unbeaten in the OCC and beat Wooster for the first time since 2009 with a 2-0 shutout.

*Halie Sciury, Sandy Valley (Magnolia) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Had eight goals and three assists in an 11-1 win over Akron Garfield. Had four goals and three assists in an 8-1 win over Ridgewood.

*Crestview (Ashland) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
The Cougars ran their unbeaten steak to five and went 2-0-1 with wins over Huron and Triway. Tied Mapleton. Outscored opponents 7-1.

*Marissa Grande, Hubbard (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Senior captain broke the school record for goals in a game with seven (and two assists) in an 11-0 win over Ashtabula Edgewood.

*Danielle McFarland, Milton-Union (West Milton, Ohio) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Senior scored two goals to become the program’s all-time leading goal scorer (with 81) in a 6-0 win over Dixie. Has 33 career assists (three shy of career record).

*Waynesville (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
The Spartans ran their unbeaten streak to 12 and claimed at least a share of the SWBL Buckeye Division title with shutout wins over Middletown Madison and Milton-Union. Waynesville has outscored opponents 35-8 and has eight shutouts.

* Alyssa Clason, Grand Valley (Orwell) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Had a hat trick in a 4-1 win over Pymatuning Valley to become the program’s all-time leading scorer.

The Ironladies won their fourth straight (and the final) SEOAL title with a 3-0 victory over Athens.

Week 9 Girls Soccer Athlete of the Week

* Jenna Ridener, Sycamore (Cincinnati) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Goalie made 16 saves in a scoreless D-I sectional tournament game that the Aves won 4-2 in penalty kicks. Had 20 saves in a 1-0 loss to Lakota East in the regular season finale.

* Grace DeLuca, Thomas Worthington (Worthington) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Had three goals and three assists in a 14-0 win over Briggs.

Week 9 Girls Soccer Team of the Week

* Northwestern (West Salem) (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Despite being the five seed, the Huskies beat No. 3 seed Norwayne (4-3 in a shootout) and No. 2 seed Loudonville 3-1 to win a D-III sectional title.

* Sydney Hollingsworth, Bellbrook (FINAL VOTING RESULTS)
Knocked home the game-winning goal with eight seconds left in a 1-0 D-II district final win over Wyoming.

The fourth seeded Eagles beat No. 1 seed Westlake (1-0 in a shootout) and No. 2 seed Magnificat (1-0 in double overtime) to win a D-II district title.

Had two goals and an assist in a 3-0 D-III regional semifinal win over Lima Central Catholic.
