Volleyball Recap: Chesnee Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chesnee waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the High Point Academy Grizzlies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Chesnee was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-16, 25-19.

Hayden Roberts paced Chesnee's offense, picking up 12 kills. Roberts got some help from Abbie Olson and her 18 assists. Roberts also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Payden Pitman, each putting up five.

Chesnee's win bumped their record up to 17-4-1. As for High Point Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 8-11 record.

Chesnee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Landrum on the 9th. As for High Point Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Liberty on the 9th.
