Soccer Game Preview: Chaparral vs. Sunrise Mountain

The Chaparral Firebirds will head out to face off against the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunrise Mountain took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Chaparral, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Chaparral narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Saguaro 2-1. The Firebirds' winning goal came courtesy of Brayden Baker.

Meanwhile, Sunrise Mountain faced Arizona College Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Sunrise Mountain took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arizona College Prep. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The win got Chaparral back to even at 1-1-1. As for Sunrise Mountain, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
