Basketball Recap: Klahowya Drops Season-High Score on Vashon Island

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Klahowya's strategy against Vashon Island on Friday. The Klahowya Eagles were the clear victor by a 47-27 margin over the Vashon Island Pirates. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Klahowya got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was McKenna Sullivan out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. What's more, Sullivan also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Bailey O'Brien was another key player, putting up 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Klahowya was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Klahowya's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Vashon Island, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Klahowya will welcome Cedarcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vashon Island, they will host Cascade Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
