Baseball Recap: NSU University Extends Winning Streak to Seven

NSU University waltzed into their contest on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Logan Hallaran looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Griffin Pomper was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Landon Combs, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

NSU University's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Episcopal School of Dallas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3-1.

Coming up, NSU University will be playing at home against Nova at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. NSU University's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Nova's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Episcopal School of Dallas, they are taking a road trip to take on West Broward at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
