Volleyball Recap: King's Academy Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but King's Academy had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

When it comes to explaining why Andrew Jackson Academy lost, don't look at McKinnley Beard. Despite the final result, she had nine kills, six digs, and two blocks. Beard is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. Kinslie Carson was another key player, getting two blocks and two aces.

The win got King's Academy back to even at 12-12. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 27-9.

King's Academy has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Cross on the 25th. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Oakbrook Prep on the 25th.
