Indio scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Jacinto Tigers. The loss leaves the Rajahs without a win on the season.

Josiah Mejia was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 16 on his way to 25 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals for San Jacinto. Mejia is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Acevedo, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Indio's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for San Jacinto, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.

Indio wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 72-60 victory against Valley Center on the 27th. As for San Jacinto, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-45 loss against Calexico on the 27th.
