Baseball Preview: Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos vs. McCutcheon Mavericks
For the second straight game, Lafayette Jefferson will face off against McCutcheon. The Bronchos will head out on the road to challenge the Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette Jefferson is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Things were looking good for Lafayette Jefferson after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of McCutcheon.
For McCutcheon's part, Reed Grimes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on two hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Grimes.

He has become a key player for McCutcheon: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one home run, but 3-7 otherwise.
