Volleyball Preview: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. Glenn Bobcats        
        
		
             R.J. Reynolds and Glenn are an even 5-5 against one another  since October of 2019, but  not for long. The R.J. Reynolds Demons will square off against the Glenn Bobcats at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. R.J. Reynolds is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a three-game streak of away losses.
 Having struggled with six  losses in a row, R.J. Reynolds finally turned things around against Parkland  on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  win over the Mustangs.
 R.J. Reynolds wouldn't go down easily and took Parkland into a fifth set  where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-14, 18-25, 27-29,  17-15.
  Kya Redd and  Maggie O'Sullivan were among the main playmakers for R.J. Reynolds as the former  had 11  digs and two  aces and the latter  had nine  digs and three  aces. That's the most  aces  O'Sullivan has posted since September 4th.
 R.J. Reynolds  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 23  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in four consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, Glenn lost  3-0 to West Forsyth on Thursday. The Bobcats have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-7,  25-16.
 R.J. Reynolds' victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-11. As for Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
 R.J. Reynolds was able to grind out a solid  win over Glenn when the teams last played  on September 5th, winning  3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for R.J. Reynolds since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
