Preview: Roseville Panthers vs. De La Salle Collegiate Pilots
Roseville is 0-3 against De La Salle Collegiate since October of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Roseville Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the De La Salle Collegiate Pilots at 7:00 p.m. Roseville is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Roseville extended their postseason success on Friday against Grosse Pointe South. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 24-17.
Meanwhile, De La Salle Collegiate came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 25-6 victory over University of Detroit Jesuit. De La Salle Collegiate pushed the score to 25-0 by the end of the third, a deficit University of Detroit Jesuit cut but never quite recovered from.
Sante Gasperoni continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 102 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped Roseville to 8-3 and De La Salle Collegiate to 9-2.
Roseville was taken down by De La Salle Collegiate 37-7 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Can Roseville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
