Basketball Game Preview: Northeast Nodaway Blue Jays vs. Worth County Tigers

Northeast Nodaway and Worth County are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Northeast Nodaway Blue Jays will take on the Worth County Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Northeast Nodaway and six for Worth County.

On Friday, Northeast Nodaway was beaten by Rock Port 54-23. The match marked Northeast Nodaway's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Worth County came up short against Stanberry on Friday, falling 51-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Bulldogs since January 10, 2022.

Audrey Runde was Worth County's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Kristen Tracy held things down on the boards with ten rebounds. Kambree Briner took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Worth County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Northeast Nodaway, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.

Northeast Nodaway was able to grind out a solid victory over Worth County in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 44-34. Will Northeast Nodaway repeat their success, or does Worth County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
