Gallup came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Grants, but Mariah Melonas wouldn't allow it. The Pirates blew past the Bengals 3-0 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Melonas, who had 13 digs and two assists. Melonas is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Grants never let Gallup on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 26-24.

The win got Grants back to even at 2-2. As for Gallup, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grants will host Atrisco Heritage Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gallup, they will look to defend their home court on the 12th against Zuni at 8:45 a.m.
