Basketball Recap: Arlington Comes Up Short

Arlington lost against Bowie back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The matchup between the Arlington Colts and the Bowie Volunteers didn't end well, with the Arlington Colts falling 60-44. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Volunteers are ranked 164th).

Arlington has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Bowie, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Arlington will be playing in front of their home fans against Lamar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bowie, they will head out on the road to face off against Haltom at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bowie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
