Volleyball Recap: Sand Rock Wildcats vs. St. Clair County Fighting Saints
Sand Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Clair County Fighting Saints. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
While Sand Rock was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22.
Sand Rock's loss dropped their record down to 11-22. As for St. Clair County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-18.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lincoln the next time they take the court. Sand Rock will head out to face Lincoln at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, while St. Clair County will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
