Football Recap: Newtown Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Windsor

Newtown faced Windsor in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Nighthawks fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 34-31.

Marcus Gerace threw for 230 yards and one touchdown. Travis Rekos was his top target, picking up 80 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Cole Stockwell rushed for 65 yards and one TD.

Newtown now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Windsor, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
