Softball Recap: Mountain Ridge Has No Trouble Against Saguaro

Mountain Ridge had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Saguaro Sabercats 30-2 on Thursday.

Italia Carpio was incredible, going 4-for-5 with eight RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Taylor Dunagan was another key player, scoring five runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

Mountain Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Mountain Ridge has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Xavier College Prep on the 28th. As for Saguaro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-1 defeat against Deer Valley on the 28th.
