Basketball Recap: Family Christian Takes a Loss

Family Christian was the 25-21 winner over Faith Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Family Christian Warriors had to suffer through a 52-25 loss at the hands of the Faith Christian Saints. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.

Faith Christian's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ellieana Milford, who posted eight points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Milford has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Alexa Tomlison was another key player, putting up five points along with 23 boards and seven assists.

Family Christian's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Faith Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Family Christian will challenge Founders Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Family Christian is facing Founders Classical Academy at the right time seeing as Founders Classical Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Faith Christian, they will square off against Community Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
