Flag Football Game Preview: Basic Wolves vs. Foothill Falcons

Basic is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Foothill a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Basic Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Foothill Falcons at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Basic took a blow against Desert Oasis, falling 48-6. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada flag football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Diamondbacks are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Foothill came up short against Bishop Gorman on Wednesday, falling 38-13.

Despite the loss, Foothill saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ella Fries threw for 350 yards and three TDs. Those 350 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Fries. Foothill's leading receiver Rena Schwartz was Fries' top target yet again, picking up 145 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Basic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
