Basketball Recap: Le Roy Triumphs

Le Roy won the last time they faced Avon and things went their way on Friday too. The Le Roy Oatkan Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 victory over the Avon Braves.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maria Geary, who posted 19 points and six rebounds. That was a full 47.5% of Avon's points, marking the third time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Angelie Salogar, who had eight points and 11 boards.
