Baseball Recap: Millard South Drops Season-High Score on Millard West

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Millard South). They were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Millard West Wildcats on Tuesday. Considering the Patriots have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaxson Appuhn was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Braden Swaney was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Millard South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millard West only posted an OBP of .480.

Millard South pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Millard West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Coming up, Millard South will square off against Omaha Westside at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Millard West, they will face off against Millard North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
