Baseball Recap: Calipatria Comes Up Short

Calipatria lost to Vincent Memorial back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scots. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calipatria's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Vincent Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Calipatria will welcome Borrego Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season. As for Vincent Memorial, they are taking a road trip to challenge Warner at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.22 runs per game on average), something the Scots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
