Preview: South View Tigers vs. Purnell Swett Rams
The South View Tigers just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Purnell Swett Rams at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. South View knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Purnell Swett likes a good challenge.
South View can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Purnell Swett as South View made off with a 73-50 win. South View pushed the score to 60-33 by the end of the third, a deficit Purnell Swett cut but never quite recovered from.
South View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anthony Farrior led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Farrior has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Antrell Gilmore, who scored 20 points.
South View's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Purnell Swett, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
South View took their victory against Purnell Swett in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 73-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for South View since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
